Jyotiaditya Madharao Scindia is an Indian politician who currently serving as minister of civil Aviation and steel.

Jyotiraditya Scindia was born on January 1st, 1971 in Mumbai. He is the son of Madhavrao Scindia, and a grandson of Jiwajirao Scindia, the last ruler of the princely state of Gwalior.

Scindia currently serves as a Civil Aviation and steel minister of Narendra Modi government since 2021. He is a member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha.

Born on January 1, 1971, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, Jyotiraditya Scindia hails from a distinguished lineage of public service and royalty. He is the grandson of Jiwajirao Scindia, the last Maharaja of the princely state of Gwalior. His father, the late Shri Madhavrao J. Scindia, was a prominent politician and a minister in the government of Rajiv Gandhi. His mother, Smt. Madhavi Raje Scindia (Kiran Rajya Lakshmi Devi), hails from the royal family of Nepal, further enriching his heritage with a legacy of nobility and service.

Scindia’s academic journey took him from the prestigious Doon School in Dehradun to the hallowed halls of Harvard University, where he pursued his undergraduate studies. He further honed his leadership skills and business acumen at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business, earning an MBA.

On December 12, 1994, Jyotiraditya married Smt. Priyadarshini Raje Scindia, a union that brought together two esteemed royal families. Together, they have nurtured a loving family, blessed with a son and a daughter.
